Programming for girls in grades K-12.
Ongoing Volunteer Needs:
At Girls Inc., we are always needing volunteers to help deliver programs to our members. Volunteers help teach classes such as computer, science, cooking, games, sewing and many more activities.
Current Volunteer Needs:
We need volunteers Monday through Friday to help with our programs and activities.

Summary of Services Provided:
The Jackson County Historical Society is incorporated as a non-profit organization to collect, preserve and present Jackson County history. We have three museum buildings with displays and are developing a pioneer village of log buildings.
Ongoing Volunteer Needs:
General maintenance of log, frame and brick buildingson a half block of property in Brownstown. Lawn and flower bed and other beautification work. Help with serving ham & been dinners and other activities during Melonfest in August. Staff to keep museum buildings open longer hours.

Summary of Services Provided:
Taking care of the animals that get brought in to the shelter. Cleaning and playing with the animals.
Ongoing Volunteer Needs:
Event help, such as: selling tickets, baking, set-up, and take-down. Shelter help on weekends which includes playing with the animals and helping to clean kennels.

Summary of Services Provided:
The library provides information, materials and programs for all ages, wireless and public Internet access, photocopiers, ongoing Friends book sale, drive-up bookdrop, service window and Homebound delivery service.
Ongoing Volunteer Needs:
Library volunteers help with a variety of assignments including shelf-reading and organizing, assisting with library programs, cutting coupons, cutting and folding library documents, working on databases, scanning and digitizing photographs - just to name a few.
Current Volunteer Needs:
Volunteers assist library staff members in providing quality service.Anyone 13 years old or older may fill out an application to become a library volunteer. Volunteer applications are available at all library locations.
