| The Jackson County Historical Society is incorporated as a non-profit organization to collect, preserve and present Jackson County history. We have three museum buildings with displays and are developing a pioneer village of log buildings. |

| General maintenance of log, frame and brick buildingson a half block of property in Brownstown. Lawn and flower bed and other beautification work. Help with serving ham & been dinners and other activities during Melonfest in August. Staff to keep museum buildings open longer hours. |

| The library provides information, materials and programs for all ages, wireless and public Internet access, photocopiers, ongoing Friends book sale, drive-up bookdrop, service window and Homebound delivery service. |

| Library volunteers help with a variety of assignments including shelf-reading and organizing, assisting with library programs, cutting coupons, cutting and folding library documents, working on databases, scanning and digitizing photographs - just to name a few. |
